Whites

St. Veran 2008, Julien Collovray

Perhaps the most impressive of the three of Julien’s wines, this is breathtaking St Véran.  It does everything the above does to an even higher level.

Rueda Blanco 2009, Maria de Molina
£6.59 £5.27 inc VAT

A really exciting dry white.  We think it’s liquidised Granny Smith apples with a twist of lime but, like all our wines, it’s balanced so is refreshing and morish.

Reds

Barbera d’Alba Superiore 2007, Giovanni Viberti
£14.43 £11.54 inc VAT

This is in the top five most impressive wines on our list.  Absolutely amazing red.  Crammed with fruit.  It’s full bodied, smooth, seriously interesting and mega morish!

Sangiovese di Puglia 2009 IGT, Ancora
£5.74 £4.59 inc VAT

A strong contender for the best value wine on our wine list.  Unlike so many inexpensive southern Italian reds this is smooth and ‘oh so tasty’.  It’s packed with ripe black and red fruit and great just for a glass on its own or with a well cooked roast too.
