Tasting Note

Succulent dark cherry and raspberry fruit aromas combine with a hint of underlying spicy oak on the nose. The palate consists of finely balanced ripe tannins, oak and sweet berry fruits. Excellent structure, the wine finishes smooth and elegant.

The Producer

Rapaura Springs

Located right next to the Rapaura Springs, on our home property, this vineyard is planted with both Sauvignon Blanc and Verdelho grapes. Because of the close proximity to our Rapaura Springs, the Home Block doesn’t require irrigation helping us save on water during the dry summer months.

This site has heavy, moist, vigorous soils and experiences a cool later ripening period. In the wines it provides herbal notes, fragrant nettles and underlying lemon zest notes.
