Hervé Kerlann has an incredible ability to produce intensity and concentration with effortless charm and elegance. This Gevrey Chambertin is silky smooth with plush fruit and subtle, floral aromas. The Vieilles Vignes (aged vines) also add real complexity that slowly reveals itself with time in the glass.

Born in 1953 and raised in a traditional wine world, Hervé began learning about wine from his family from a young age. By the time he was 12 years old, he was corking wine one bottle at a time as part of the Chateau’s manual bottling line. After studying oenology and winemaking in Bordeaux, London and Montréal, Hervé worked as a wine specialist in Montréal and Vancouver. In 1990, he and his wife moved to Burgundy and bought Château de Laborde in Beaune eight years later. Hervé planted his first Pinot Noir at Château de Laborde in 2000 and started to vinify in 2005. Today Hervé has acquired around 5 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Beaune.
