Tasting Note

Txakoli is back and better than ever. Crisp, fresh and zingy, notes of green apple, citrus and melon explode out of the glass. What is more, a little CO2 is deliberately left over giving it a vibrant spritz!

The Producer

Bodega Txakoli Rezabal

Getariako Txakolina is a Spanish Denominación de Origen (DO) (Jatorrizko Deitura in Basque) for wines, located around the towns of Getaria and Zarautz, small fishing towns on the coast of the Bay of Biscay, in the province of Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, Spain. The DO area is protected from the cold northerly winds by the coastal hills, and enjoys a relatively mild climate, with an average annual temperature of 13.5°C, and moderate sunlight hours. Hail is a serious risk for the grapes. The rainfall of 1,600 mm/yr is the highest of all the Spanish wine regions.
